Each area is meticulously designed to make guests feel as if they've stepped into the movies themselves.
From the moment you enter the lobby, you're greeted with sketches, storyboards, and artwork that showcase the development of these iconic films. The walls are adorned with large, colorful murals and character statues, offering myriad photo opportunities and creating a playful atmosphere that appeals to the child in everyone.
Finding Nemo
The resort's largest area features a sprawling pool shaped like the "Big Blue Pool," complete with state-of-the-art underwater speakers. Guests can enjoy the whimsical seascapes and larger-than-life characters from the movie, making it a favorite spot for families to splash and play.
Cars
This section of the resort is designed to resemble Radiator Springs, complete with a Cozy Cone Pool and characters like Lightning McQueen and Mater greeting guests. The detailed landscapes and roadside attractions offer a nostalgic trip down Route 66.
The Lion King

Artful and Spacious Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Disney's Art of Animation Resort offers a variety of room types, from standard rooms to family suites, designed to accommodate groups of all sizes.
Family Suites: These suites are designed to comfortably fit up to six guests, making them ideal for larger families. Each suite includes two bathrooms, a master bedroom, and three separate sleeping areas within the living space, which includes a double-size table bed and a double-size sleeper sofa. The suites also feature kitchenettes with microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffee makers.
Standard Rooms: Located in "The Little Mermaid" section, these rooms are perfect for smaller families or couples. Decorated with under-the-sea themes, the standard rooms include two double beds or one king bed, a mini-fridge, and a bathroom.
One little hiccup at the Art of Animation is in the Standard Room setup. Unlike the swanky upgrades over at Pop Century, these rooms haven't gotten the queen bed and murphy bed makeover.
The murphy beds are total space-savers, especially handy during the day. While the rooms are super cute and stick to the theme, they can feel a bit snug if you’re packing the room with four people or a boatload of luggage.
Convenient Transportation from Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is well-connected to all of Walt Disney World’s theme parks via Disney’s complimentary transportation network.
Disney Skyliner: One of the most exciting features is the access to the Disney Skyliner, a gondola system that offers aerial views of the resort as it transports guests to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The station is shared with Disney's Pop Century Resort and provides a fun and efficient way to travel.
Bus Service: For destinations not connected by the Skyliner, such as Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, the water parks, and Disney Springs, the resort offers frequent bus services. The buses stop right outside the Animation Hall, making it convenient for guests to get around the resort.
These free transportation options typically run one hour before the theme parks opening and continue one hour after closing. Here are some important tips to keep in mind:
The Skyliner operates weather permitting. If there is a thunderstorm in the area, it will close and you will be rerouted to bus transportations.
If the Skyliner is open, then that will be your only options to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Buses are not provided to these two theme parks when the Skyliner is operational.
The line for the Skyliner can get long for early entry in the morning. Be sure to arrive early for the Skyliner opening. Once the Skyliner starts moving, the line does move pretty fast since it's a continual load system.
